About A Content Pursuit
How it started:
A Content Pursuit was first dreamed up during a 2015 road trip when I asked my friends what they thought the balance was between striving for excellence and living contently. Not complacency, contentment. Often, if I zoned in on one goal, other “good things” suffered. But, I’m a driven gal and want to always improve. What’s the balance? That’s what I wanted to work through. Since the initial road trip question, I’ve used this phrase as a bit of a personal vision: Live with a content pursuit.
Keep setting goals and striving for them but be content, not letting anything steal day-to-day joys and resting easy when the best effort results in “try again,” instead of a trophy.
I’m not perfect at holding the tension between aiming for excellence and living contently right where I am. But, I’ll keep unpacking my thoughts and welcome you along for the ride!
Where I’m at Today:
I’m still a goal-oriented achiever who’s gifted mugs and stickers with the phrase, “Get it Done!” But, I also want to be all there in any season of life and in whatever circumstance. Basically, I’m still working on the whole content pursuit thing and excited to unravel my thoughts with you!
A little about me…
Road trips, hiking trails, and coffee shops are some of my favorite places to clear my mind.
Enneagram 3, but is that really a surprise if I’m writing a blog about goals?
“Becca really likes words” is once how I overheard a friend describe me in a new-to-me circle, and it’s an accurate description. From Bananagrams tournaments for fun to earning an M.S. in Communication to get better at content strategy, I really like words.
