Tea Party Theme for Bachelorettes or Bridal Showers
Celebration helps us mark key life moments with gratitude and connection with those we’re close to. It’s an important part of reaching goals and living with contentment. Yet, it can turn into an area that sparks discontentment if we make celebration a comparison competition with others throwing the parties or living in similar seasons.
Bridal showers and bachelorette parties don’t have to be productions that stress out the hostess and participants. Yes, plan and prepare. Those words don’t have to be synonymous with stress and overwhelmed though. Remember the person you’re celebrating and what matters most to them. Not all brides are the same. Ask what’s most important to them about their bridal shower or bachelorette. If they care more about the connection than the production, listen to that request and mold the event to fit it. You’ll still need to coordinate food and activities, but with a focus shift on connection, the details are simpler.
I recently celebrated a friend’s wedding by throwing her a bachelorette party themed around her love of tea. These are ideas you could integrate into a tea-themed bridal shower or bachelorette:
Partea Sign
This balloon sign adds to the tea party theme and is easy to receive and set up. Allow time to blow up the balloons before the event.
Thrifted Tea Party Supplies
Before the event, visit thrift stores for unique, fun tea cups, teapots, table clothes, baskets, and lace. Let attendees take home their favorite tea cup as their party favor.
Tiered Serving Stand
To elevate the tea party, purchase or borrow tiered serving trays. Choose which foods you will place on each tier in advance to make setup easier on yourself.
Really Good Tea
Find a variety of tea flavors for the event. One of my favorite brands for hosting is Tea with Tae. The variety of flavors and ease of navigating the ingredients, including caffeine levels makes it easy to ensure everyone has a tea they like. Plus, it’s delicious. Shop the brand here. Order the popular Bombay Chai from Amazon here.
Nice, Disposable Plates and Cutlery
Want easy cleanup without sacrificing the elevated look of the tea party? Find gold, strong disposable cutlery, such as the package pictured and clear plates and bowls.
Ask for Help
You don’t have to do everything alone. If others are willing, ask them to bring food and prepare activities. You can coordinate a successful event without doing everything yourself. It might not be precise and perfect that way, but it will be less stressful.
Remember that no matter your theme, people are more important than a perfect picture. If you remember this, it will make contentment more natural than comparison. You can mark milestones and gather together without consistent stress.
